How Do I...

  1. Join Side 7? -
    At the top of every page is a "Register" link (unless you're logged in, but then, why do you need to register?). Simply click that and you're on you way to becoming a Side 7 member!

    You'll need to confirm your account through e-mail, so please ensure that your e-mail account is set up to accept e-mail from side7.com!
  2. Upgrade my account type? -
    Log into your account. At the top of the page, click "Account", and then click on the "Profile" tab. Once there, click on "Upgrade Your Account".
  3. Remove my account? -
    Log into your account. At the top of the page, click "Account" , and then click on the "Profile" tab. Once there, click on "Delete Your Account".

    Please be aware, this does not cause an immediate deletion of your account. There is a 30-day grace-period before the purging happens, and during that time you can recover your account if you change your mind.
  4. Change my publicly displayed name? -
    Log into your account. At the top of the page, click "Account", and then click on the "Profile" tab. Once there, click on the "Edit Account Information".
  5. Change my username? -
    Usernames are not typically changeable manually. If you would like to change your username, you can use our Help Request form to ask for it.

    Please understand, for security reasons, we don't typically do this, and requests are considered on a case-by-case basis and are not guaranteed to be approved.
  6. Change my password? -
    Log into your account. At the top of the page, click "Account", and then click on the "Profile" tab. Once there, click on "Edit Account Information".
  7. Change my e-mail address? -
    Log into your account. At the top of the page, click "Account", and then click on the "Profile" tab. Once there, click on "Edit Account Information".
  8. Change my biography information? -
    Log into your account. At the top of the page, click "Account", and then click on the "Profile" tab. Once there, click on "Edit Profile Information".
  9. Add, change, or remove my biography images? -
    Log into your account. At the top of the page, click "Account", and then click on the "Profile" tab. Once there, click on "Manage Profile Images".
  10. Add, change, or remove my character biographies? -
    Log into your account. At the top of the page, click "Account", and then click on the "Profile" tab. Once there, click on "Edit Character Profiles".
  11. Add, change, or remove my character biography images? -
    Log into your account. At the top of the page, click "Account", and then click on the "Profile" tab. Once there, click on "Edit Character Profiles".
  12. Add a new member to my Museum Page? -
    You must be logged in to add someone to your Museum page. You can add anyone to your Museum anywhere you find a "Add Member To Your Museum Link". Additionally, if you know the user's username, you can add it directly using the Manage Museum section of your Account Management page.

    To reach the Manage Museum screen, log into your account. At the top of the page, click on "Account". Once there, click on the "Gallery" tab, and then click on "Manage Museum".
  13. Remove a member from my Museum Page? -
    Log into your account. At the top of the page, click on "Account". Once there, click on the "Gallery" tab, and then click on "Manage Museum".

    Alternatively, if you already have someone in your Museum, anywhere where an "Add This Member To Your Museum" link was, will now read "Remove This Member From Your Museum". Not only will it read that, but that's exactly what that link will do!
  14. Change my site preferences? -
    Log into your account. At the top of the page, click on "Prefs".

    Alternately, log into your account. AT the top of the page, click on "Account". Once there, click on the "Profile" tab, and then click on "Manage Site Preferences".
  15. Read and send private messages? -
    Log into your account. At the top of the page, click on "Account". Once there, click on the "Message Center" tab.
  16. Upload images? -
    Log into your account. At the top of the page, click "Upload".

    Alternatively, log into your account. At the top of the page, click "Account". Once there, click on the "Gallery" tab, and then click "Upload A New Image".

    This feature is not available to Vistor Accounts.
  17. Edit image information on one of my images? -
    Log into your account. At the top of the page, click "Account", then click on the "Gallery" tab. Then, click on "Edit An Existing Image". From there, you can choose the image you wish to edit.
  18. Remove images? -
    Log into your account. At the top of the page, click "Account", then click on the "Gallery" tab. From there, click "Delete Images".
  19. Archive or unarchive images? -
    Log into your account. At the top of the page, click "Account", then click on the "Gallery" tab. From there, click "Manage Images In Portfolios".

    In the portfolio management screen, click on "Manage Images" for the "Archived Artwork" portfolio. Click the checkbox for each image you'd like to add Archive, and then click the "Add Images" button.

    Alternatively, you can click the "Remove Image" checkboxes at the top of the screen, and then the "Remove Images" button, to unarchive images.

    This is available to 3 Star and 5 Star accounts only.
  20. Mass-Upload images? -
    During the normal upload process, select "True" for the "Mass Upload" setting on the image information screen.

    This is available to 3 Star and 5 Star accounts only.
  21. Manage comments Iíve received on my images? -
    Log into your account. You can directly view the image with comments, and manage them from there.

    Or, you can do the following: Click "Account" at the top of the screen. Then, click on the "Gallery" tab. From there, click on "View Images w/ Comments".
