An autobiographical comic strip. Young Loretta wonders (out loud) why the heck her brother enjoys James Bond movies so much. As kids, my little sister wondered the same thing of me.

Like Loretta, I was reading through a copy of 'Better Homes and Gardens' one day, and was appalled when I came across a cigarette ad. This strip subsequently resulted. The lettering was a bit hard to read, because I used a technical pen that was too thin to show up after scanning.

Another early comic strip of mine, that I'm still rather fond of. In this installment, we find 8-year-old fox kit Loretta Henner asking her mom why she didn't marry outside of her species (in order to produce more "interesting" offspring).

This is one of the very first "real" comic strips I drew (inked with a brush, slowly and awkwardly!). I used it for the start of my fledgling online comic strip, "Mullein Fields". I thought covering someone with birdseed in an attempt to break the world's finch congregation record was a pretty funny idea -- and encouragingly, the people I've shown it to agree.
