A lovely blue faery I came up with in English class one day. The bubbles are just for fun, cuz I needed to spice up the plain white background. Watercolor, of course.

This little faery sits atop a pedestal, where he can feel the cool breeze as the leaves swirl around her. Watercolor and pearlescent ink, which once again didn't show up in the scan. Inspired by the work of the wonderful Amy Brown

'Lara clung to the fence that separated her from the human world, watching the sun set behind the city silhouetted in the distance. The red sky slowly deepened to purple, making the black spires of the buildings look like paper cutouts pasted onto a watercolor painting. For the people in that city, going home to warm dinners in their expensive cars, they day was drawing to a close. But the night was Lara's glory, and her day was just dawning.' This is Lara, once again. My very first attempt at computer coloring! Let me tell you, people who say computer art isn't 'real' art because it's artificial or too easy to do....it is not in the least easy. This took me several hours, laboring away with my mouse in Photostudio (I have neither a wacom tablet or Photoshop, I have only an eight-year old mouse that sticks and a program with limited options). Still< I think this turned out fairly well. The background looks rather fake, but I did that in a bit of a hurry because I just wanted to be DONE. I had to mask off each area of this picture separately in order to paint it-including the irises of the eyes, and the lips, and EVERY FREAKING LINK in that fence had to be masked off so I could put in the background. I drew this first in Micron pen, then scanned it and colored it. Anyway, I hope my labors paid off. Enjoy!

I don't know who she is or where she came from...I just drew her one day during lunch, and there's something in her huge, innocent eyes that I really like. For some reason I gave her a large number of piercings *shrug* This is my second attempt at coloring on the computer. IT's very, very difficult, because I dont have a wacom tablet or Photoshop, just an eight-year-old mouse that sticks and Photostudio, which has very limited options in regerds to coloring. IT's mostly for photo touch-ups and effects. So it took me a very long time and a lot of work, using only the airbrush tool, filler bucket, and smudge tool, but here's the finished product. I dont' think I shaded her skin as well as I would ahve liked, and my attempt and blue lighting came out kinda funny, but I do like her eyes, the color and the life they have to them. I had intended her wings to be black, but they came out as kind of a smoky grey, which I think I like better. I wrote a poem that goes along with her...but I think I lost it. If I ever find it, I'll put it up here. For now, enjoy.

This is Rodney, the first in my series of five gargoyles. (also see Norman!) He's my favorite. I love his position and expression...he's just so cute! Grey stoneware clay with black and rutile stains sponged on for a stony effect. He's about 8" tall. Artwork © 2004 Aeryn Avalon |

This is Norman, froma series of five ceramic gargolyes I made at Governor's School this summer. I'm quite proud of them, since I've never done ceramics before. He's made of grey stoneware clay, with black and rutile stains sponged on to make him look like stone. he's about 11" long and about 4" high, including the horns ^_^

the second of my seasons, Summer. I realize she and Spring look very similar, but I didn't really intend them to be the same person ;p I just thought they should both be blonde, and that's how they came out. it's hard to distinguish between the seasons, too...in Summer, there are more flowers, though. Generally I just like the image, even if it's not a fantastic representation of the season. Prismacolor Markers.

This is Spring, the first in my Seasons series (which I never finished...*cough cough* WEll, i got them all drawn and inked, but didn't like Autumn and Winter enough to color them). She's my favorite of the four...her face turned out just the way I wanted it, and I"m pleased with the pose and the colouring. Prismacolor markers.

I was trying a new medium, and decided pastels might be fun...and this is what came of it. It evolved froma sketch I did in Spanish one day (surprise, surprise). and I did like the original sketch better...but this is acceptable as well. ^_^ Hope you like. Prismacolor Pastel. Well, here's Gojyo. Remind me NEVER to do a pen sketch, ever again. It takes WAY too long. Plus, I usually like my shading to be smoother...but I was in Physics and all I had was a pen. I did the layout for this in pencil, then went back in with the ink. Took me all of physics, all of Spanish, and part of band to complete. The title is an inside joke, only about four people in the world will understand. ;p Enjoy! Please note: I can't reply to or grade comments because my computer SUCKS. Sorry!

Hey, lookie! More ancient fanart! I originally drew this to give to my friend with a Rayearth obsession, but then I...well I just didn't. Those little circly things took me forever, because I drew them all by hand without a compass or anything. But it looks pretty cool, ne? I HATE NOVA'S FEET! WHY THE HECK ARE THEY SO...POINTY?
You should all give Li-chan your SOULS. She deserves them for scanning and uploading everything for me!
