Yes, of all the anime for me to get into... Speed Racer! Back from the days when people still called it 'Japanimation' and anime series weren't just designed to sell trading cards. It's an oldie, but it's a classic.
I'm getting into a lot of older anime lately, like Lupin III and stuff like that, and I just love 'Speed' now! The stories and characters are actually interesting, plus Speed's car is really cool, and come on, you can't NOT laugh at the motor-mouth dub job they did on that show lol ^_^ And there's a monkey. What more could you ask for?
Anyway, here's Speed and his girfriend, Trixie, done in a more modern-day style, and also in MY new style, meaning I'm trying new things with my linework as you may notice. I'll refrain from singing the Speed Racer theme song... just cause I know it'll be stuck in my head all day if I do.
NOTE: Well, apparently this is going to be my last image on this site -_- At least for a while. Seems the new rules have taken effect and now Side7 won't let me load any new images--unless I shell out the green of course. I really think this is sickening. I knew it was coming, but it still is just ridiculous. I hope the morons on here realize how many artists they're going to lose by doing this. I don't know what I'm going to do now (and yes, I tried Deviant.Art. They're not letting any AOL users sign up, so I'm screwed there), but until I can find somewhere else to post my art or afford to send the money-grubbing thieves who run this site some money, then this is goodbye. I can't tell you all how much you're comments and support and friendship have meant to me. I love you all ^_^ I hope I'll still see you all again. Thank you for everything.

I know some people here must remember the 'Beetlejuice' cartoon that used to be on. I loved that show ^_^ I even dressed up as Lydia for Halloween one year, and for some reason I thought Gaz would look cool in Lydia's get-up, too.
I actually tried doing Gaz like this this a few years back, when I was drawing my 'Zim Halloween' pic--this is what I originally thought of for her costume--but it never worked. I tried it again recently and this time... it did. *shrugs* Works for me ^^

For Hogulus. After much waiting I finally got to finishing this fancharacter for him. For those who don't know, this is Hogulus's character Gyok, an Irken Weapons Developer, which is why he's got one of those funky, Jhonen gun thingys. Oh, and he's a tad insane.
Most of the basic info about Gyok came from his creator, but I did a little ad-libbing on his eye and antennae and a few other little things, and the pose of course which I really like ^^ I'm sorry the background sucks so much -_-

This is something I came up with and drew in like ten minutes. I can't really remember where the idea came from, probably I was watching 'Samurai Jack' at the time or cause someone commented on my Samurai Zim drawing recently. Or both, I dunno, but despite the short time it took to draw I think it's one of the neatest drawings of Dib I've ever done ^^

Isn't it clear by now how much I love love LOVE these guys? ^__^ From left to right it's Gabry, Jeffrey, and Maury, or Eiffel 65 as most people know them. Their new album is out in Italy (their 3rd one!), and this is my way of celebrating. I can't wait to get it ^^ The songs on it are in Italian, but they're still great from what I've listened to, and they're gonna do an English version soon, so... Yay!!
I made them look anime-like, though actually I really think they look more manga-ish. Well, I'll let you decide. This has to be one of my personal favorite drawings of all time ^-^
And thanks to everyone for welcoming me back, I missed everybody! You guys are the best!

This drawing is a gift to one of my best friends, Sarah, of her fancreation, Nel, featured in one of the most fantastic fanfics I've ever had the honor of reading, I Didn't Make it Rain. It's a beautifully written, detailed story about how Nel and Dib meet and fall in love, but don't make the mistake of thinking that this is just some typical, overly done "Dib meets Mary-Sue" fanfic. This story actually has Nel as a non-perfect, believable, yet very mysterious character, and is just an absolutely engrossing read. The plot is really good, and though it's a serious story it still has some great moments of humor scattered here and there. 'I Didn't Make it Rain' is a truly wonderful piece of work, but don't take my word for it, go click the link above and see for yourself ^_~
And Sarah, for the record, is the very same person that I mentioned a few posts ago who did those stunningly gorgeous drawings which inspired me to do the 'My Butterfly' picture. Not only did she write one of the best IZ fanfics I've ever seen, but her art is astounding. Still though, she always says that she has trouble drawing well in the Invader ZIM/Jhonen style. I of course think she does just fine, but still I thought since I liked Nel and her story so much, and wanted to draw something to show Sarah how much I've appreciated her inspiration to me, I thought I'd take Nel and draw her as she might appear on the show. Sarah draws Nel in her own lovely Manga-type style with such delicate beauty, so I really prayed I wouldn't ruin trying to make her a little more Vasquezian, so it ended up being a sort of cross between Sarah's, Jhonen's, and my own style of drawing.
Sarah sent me a few pix of Nel, and in a lot of them she had angel wings, so that's how I wanted to draw her. The heart she's hugging I just came up with as en excuse to have some pink in the drawing (I'm weird ^^), but I think there's some symbolism there, too. Oh, and just so nobody thinks, "Oh jeez, not another fancharacter who wears a trench coat!" know that Nel normally does NOT wear one. She only does once in the story (and it's for a really adorable reason too ^_^), but I liked the contrast of the black on blue, so blame the coat thing on me ^^;;

Ah! Taryn's pile of 'Draw-my-fan-character-with-Dib' requests never ends! ^^ Nah, I don't mean that in a bitchy way. I'm flattered, actually, that so many people like my particular brand of Dib/fan-character romance--though I do sometimes feel a bit burried in requests ^^;;
O-tay, down to business! This little lassie with Dib is named Lyn (as anyone who read the 'Image Title' just might have guessed), thought up by Invader Rizzi, aka. Sapphire Ocean, aka. Ray. You can read all about her at
Gir.n3 in the fanfics "The Girl" and "The
Night that Almost Changed History."
Honestly, I like doing this kind of drawing. What kind is that, you ask? That's a very good question. You're a very bright young boy/girl ^_^ What I mean is the kind where the creator doesn't have a concrete picture of their character in their mind yet, and they pretty much just give me some base details and allow me to be creative in coming up with the character's appearance, plus giving me control over what Fan-character Girl and Dib will be doing in the picture. Kind of contradictary to the way I usually am, but sometimes I like making my imagination do a bit of overtime.
Lyn's skirt is cute, ne? Too bad the background totally sucks -_-;; I'm sooooo sorry! But Invader Rizzi liked the pic so I guess that's all that matters (and I'm glad she did! ^^).
Note: I am very tired--I mean veeeeery tired--so any nonsense you may have experienced during the previous paragraphs is purely imaginary. That's right, YOU NEVER SAW IT!! IT'S ALL IN YOUR HEAD! YOU-- *falls over dead on the keyboard, snoring* -_-zzzZZzzzZZZZzzzz.....

Daaaaaannggg... I've been gone awhile! Unfortunately for the past month or so just about everything that can go wrong with our computer went wrong, so I haven't been able to color in Paint OR Photoshop/get online/do much of anything on our stupid, moronic computer. Oh, and plus I was in the hospital again *sigh* for a few days and spent a week or two recovering, so there went ANOTHER chunk of my time. God hospitals suck. Please, don't EVER get hooked on sugar people!!! That's all I'm gonna say.
Our computer should be fixed soon (heh "should" be -_-) but I've used the prescious moments I have using the computer over at my grandma's to get some pix done, so uh, here's one.
Tak and Mimi. Uh-hyup. I'm about ready to stab Nails with a Q-tip (if you don't get this then see my 'Great Tak Mystery' comic thing in my gallery... uh, somewhere). Nothing too amazing and Tak's got the same ol' "tude," but Mimi's in it and I really do love Mimi ^-^
I starting to think maybe I don't like drawing Tak so much as I do just coloring her. She does have real neat colors. I guess I like the whole purple/black/pink thing. Also I drew this in sort of my own style. You can see I made Tak's eyes and her hair different a little. And I particularly like the boots and how she's got her feet positioned against the wall. I just--I dunno--think it looks nice ^^
Um, so yeah, I AM STILL PRE-MORTEM!! Yippie! ^__^ Incase anyone was worried about my abscence, I'm still here, and should soon have a butt-load of new work to post (and surprise surprise, lots of it is non-IZ stuff! *gasp!*).

Actually, this started out as just being a drawing of a Japanese girl in a kimono, but I thought she looked a little like Botan so I just decided to give her Botan's color scheme (cause I really love her colors) and say it was her. Of course she doesn't look exactly like her, so let's just say this is Botan drawn according to my own personal tastes. And I'm very happy with the bright colors on this ^^
I'm sorry I haven't been around too much lately -_-;; Trust me I haven't stopped drawing, it's just I don't get to go on the computer a lot anymore, even just to color things. But fear not, I've got a whole truckload of pictures backed up just waiting for me to get a chance to get on and color them, plus some older sketches and stuff to put up, so very soon you'll be seeing a ton of new stuff from me ^_~ I'm really grateful to have so many people who like my art ^_^ I just hope people will still keep looking at my pictures now that I'm not doing as much Invader ZIM fanart these days, though I'm still doing it and have got some new IZ pictures planned and drawn already, plus some requests yet to finish. But, yes I AM still doing artwork, and I'll be back soon with a vengence! Whee-hee! ^^

Well what can I say about this picture except... I'm so embarrassed!! *^^* (blushes so bad she looks like a lobster), but I HAD to draw this! I mean come on, you gotta admit it's kinda cute ^_^
Basically this is my ultimate fantasy, simply yanked from my imagination and slapped down on paper for all to see and gawk at (gee I have such a way with words), of what it would be like if I ever met my Jeffrey from Eiffel 65 ^^ Heehee I love him so much! ^__^ And yeah, okay I feel real stupid and all admitting this, but the girl in the picture is me (eep, there I go blushing again!) The scenereo I tried to envision was that, if I could meet him and we had our picture taken together (perhaps by a camera toting friend I dragged along to one of Eiffel's concerts? ^_^), what would my ultimate dream photograph look like? Well, I've got a photo just like this of my friend, Joe, and I posing at my graduation party, and right before the camera went off he unexpectedly grabbed my face and planted one on me. Now for some reason I could totally picture Jeffrey doing the same thing to some unsuspecting (yet incredibly effin' lucky) fan when asked for a picture. From what I've read and heard and seen of him (and yes I actually have seen him! Just not got to talk to) he's got a great sense of humor, the biggest reason I find him so damn sexy ^_~ so this just seems like a 'Jeffrey' thing to do. I know it's so dumb, but I really wish this could happen *^^* I'd be the happiest girl in history... and that's an understatement!
By the way, I've taken up my colored pencils once again after a long break from them to bring you this slice of embarrassment in full, living color. Kewl, eh? And the reason the title of this is 'Blue Kiss' when there's not a single scrap of blue in it is because Jeffrey signs all his e-mails with "Blue Kisses!" Now you know ^_^

The inspiration for this came mostly from two things. The first thing that gave me the idea to draw this was the song 'My Butterfly' (Wowie! That's the same as the picture title!! ) by Gabry Ponte on his new solo album (Ah yes, yet another picture inspired by Eiffel 65 in some way ^_~ Damn I love those guys). I'll admit, it's a weird, acid trip of a song if I ever heard one, but for some strange reason I like it, and while listening to the chorus (at least I think it's the chorus, I dunno, it's the part where some girl is singing in this reeeeeealy squeeky voice) I got this image in my head. Squeeky as this girl sings (maybe she's supposed to sound like a faery, perhaps? It's possible), her voice seems so sad and full of sorrow, and this picture sort of reflects that.
The second thing that inspired this was a friend of mine, we'll call her Nel since I don't know if she'd want me to use her real name, who does these just amazing drawings that she was kind enough to send me a few of. I always thought I was a pretty good anime artist until I saw her stuff. It totally blew anything I'd ever done completely away, at least in my opinion (she doesn't believe me when I tell her how incredible her art is ^_~ Oh, and she loves Eiffel 65 too, mwahahaha!), and I love her stlye SO much, so I wanted to create something as beautiful as she could, but still undoubtably 'mine'. So her drawings were the diving off point for me when I went to do this, and I'd like to take the time to say thank you, Nel, for inspiring me creatively in a way I haven't been for a long time now. You had me so in envy of your mind-bogglingly amazing drawing skills that I clawed my way up out of my artistic slump and rose to a level I never thought I could reach, and I'd have never known I could draw something like this if it hadn't been for you ^_^ And I will admit, I am EXTREMELY proud of this little bit o'artwork. I haven't done anything this detailed or complicated in a long time, plus the image came out on the paper exactly as it appeared in my mind (which hardly ever happens). I wasn't going to color it at all except for the wings, but then I got goin' in Photoshop and, well, you know how that goes ^^;; But essentially I did want to keep most of the drawing white, so yes, that was intentional. I didn't get lazy or anything ^_^ Hope everyone likes it!

More pix of my three favorite guys ^^ or in this case just one out of the three, but Gabry deserves his own special picture since he released a solo album just recently. He's still a part of Eiffel 65, but he produced and mixed his own album and wrote all new songs, so this is my tribute to his solo project and my way of saying good luck to him. And the reason for the moon thing is because my new favorite song is entitled 'The Man in the Moon,' and it's featured on his album, so it's also an homage to that. I swear it is SUCH a beautiful song!! Jeffrey Jey from E65 does the vocals for it too, and I swear this man's voice when it's not run through the vocorder brings tears to my eyes. I mean my God! When he hits that high note I just lose it completely ^_^ Honestly, this song makes me cry it's just so gorgeous, and Jeffrey sings it so amazingly. If you haven't heard this man sing then go right now to Morpheus or something and download this song!! I wish I could have had Jeffrey in the picture somehow (after all, he's mostly the reason I love this song so much, no one could have sung it better), but it's on Gabry's album and he wrote the song, so I'll just give Gabry his time to shine ^-^

Wow, new Sailor Moon fanart... I guess It's been awhile since I've done any, but I just got the entire season of Sailorstars, the final series of Sailor Moon that hasn't been released in the US, on DVD for Christmas (Arigato, Dar! ^_~ *kiss*), and now my favorite character out of the whole series is hands-down Seiya of the Three Lights. I have no idea why, I just really really like him a lot *^^* He's just... cool. Most Sailor Moon characters, even the ones I like, tend to get on my nerves after a while, but all through watching the Sailorstars episodes Seiya stayed pretty high in my opinion right up till the end. I think he's probably the coolest Sailor Moon character out of the whole cast, and I definately think he and Usagi go great together (yeah, even though I know he is really a she, I still think they make the most adorable couple, and he is SO much cuter and way nicer to Usagi than Mamoru ever was). This ended up looking like an album cover for some reason, but I guess it's sort of fitting since he's a singer.
Just a note: I barely glanced at a reference picture with this, and it was the first time I've ever drawn Seiya, so um... yeah, just thought I'd mention that cause I'm really happy with how this turned out ^_^

This wasn't drawn by me, but by Invader Zimma, who's art I love to just sit and browse through. I remember I'd seen this drawing in her archive and, while I'm not particularly a ZATR fan (I don't have any problem with it like I do with DATR : P, but I'm not into it, you know?), I loved the drawing. Zim and Tak looked so cute laying there together, and I loved the way she brought out the innocence in these two like no one else I think could have, but the picture was in black and white. So I colored it for Invader Zimma and sent it to her as a sort of gift type... uh, thinger, and she gave me the OK to put it up here so long as I mentioned it was her original drawing, so just keep that in mind that half of the credit is hers, kay? I jes colored it.
Hope everyone had a better holiday than I did (Lucky me, I got to spend MY Christmas laying in a flippin' hospital bed :D Joy!!). My aunt left a comment on my 'Jeffrey' picture about that, so some of you might already know about it. I had Ketoacidosis or something like that, I can't remember the exact name, but it's a blood sugar condition and now I'm on insulin shots (Yeah, that was my X-mas gift. Thank you, God, thank you so bloody much!!), and if I hadn't gone in when I did, my mom now informs me, I'd probably have died from it within a few days (Yep, merry efffin' Christmas, me!) Ah well, I'm feeling much better now and am just glad to be out cause god that place is like a damn prison!! And I was in there for three agonizing days -_- but I don't want to bore you anymore about that. Plus I'll just end up sounding like a whiny bitch if I keep goin ^_^ But just to let everyone know incase anyone was wondering what was wrong with me, I'm doing alright now, thanks and I love you guys ^^ Hope everyone had a good holiday! ^_^

Most people have only heard his voice on songs like 'Blue' or 'Move Your Body' where it's run through the vocorder and sounds all computerized, but if you ever heard his natural singing voice (you can kind of hear it in 'King of Lullaby' and in an older song of his from when he was in the band Bliss Team called 'Love is Forever,' a tear-jerker of a song if there ever was one), it's just so indescribably strong and beautiful. A better word would be 'powerful,' and his voice truly can touch your soul. When he sings, it's like he's singing only to you, and as a way to show how much his music has touched me I drew this as a kind of tribute.
~Sigh~ God I love this man ^__^ Heh um, anyhoo I dedicate this to Jeffrey who will always be my King of Lullaby.

Haven't done any 'Zim' fanart in a looong time. Haven't done any Dib in Wonderland' art in a while, either. Therefore, I sketched this one night when I actually had a minute to do some drawing. I swear, I hardly have time to draw at ALL anymore these days -_-;; which explains why I haven't uploaded any new pix lately. Not to mention I'm burried in requests AGAIN. Argh I say. Damned if I'll EVER get caught up with all the stuff I gotta get done.
Anyhoo, I like Zim's big ol' axe ^-^ I thought it would make a nice, evil-type of picture with him just standing there by himself looking all devious and, you know, Zimmish.
I plan to start on my DIW picture series again soon, too, btw.

I just started watching 'Cowboy Bebop' now that they're showing it again from the beginning, and I just got a new set of Prismacolor markers for me B-day ^^ (Yeee!), so I thought I'd try them out by doing a practice-type drawing of Faye. Keep in mind I did this without any real reference pictures, so it's not perfect, and the bottom isn't really drawn in, but like I said, this was just to test out my markers pretty much.
She looks like she's going, "Pucker up, Baby." ^_~

This is another picture that I already uploaded a long time ago, only the first version of this I did was uncolored. Well, someone suggested I color it, cause they thought it would look really nice, so I thought, "Alrighty," and got to work on it. I left it unfinished for a real long time, but just recently I found it and decided to complete it, especially since now with Photoshop I knew I could add a nice BG to it.
Man, I haven't worked with colored pencil for such a long time, it was great seeing if I still had the talent for them. I had everything done except Pluto's hair, which I just did tonite, so it turned out pretty good I think. The background is pretty simple, but I really love it. It compliments Pluto nicely ^-^
