Sailor Stars was my first 'real' anime (I don't count Sailor moon or anything cut and dubbed on Tv!) I loved the fansubs Nee-chan lent me and I agree that Seiya IS the best character (I could never see why everyone kept falling in love with Mamoru--what's so great about him?) I really love the compostion of this pic and the story about it in the first comment is so weird--but it's happened to me too! I draw a pic without really using a reference and the next thing I know I'm flipping through Newtype and there's a pic that looks an awful lot like mine but proffesional! Eek!

Wow, new Sailor Moon fanart... I guess It's been awhile since I've done any, but I just got the entire season of Sailorstars, the final series of Sailor Moon that hasn't been released in the US, on DVD for Christmas (Arigato, Dar! ^~ kiss), and now my favorite character out of the whole series is hands-down Seiya of the Three Lights. I have no idea why, I just really really like him a lot ^^ He's just... cool. Most Sailor Moon characters, even the ones I like, tend to get on my nerves after a while, but all through watching the Sailorstars episodes Seiya stayed pretty high in my opinion right up till the end. I think he's probably the coolest Sailor Moon character out of the whole cast, and I definately think he and Usagi go great together (yeah, even though I know he is really a she, I still think they make the most adorable couple, and he is SO much cuter and way nicer to Usagi than Mamoru ever was). This ended up looking like an album cover for some reason, but I guess it's sort of fitting since he's a singer. Just a note: I barely glanced at a reference picture with this, and it was the first time I've ever drawn Seiya, so um... yeah, just thought I'd mention that cause I'm really happy with how this turned out ^^

Yeeeiii~!! ^.^ Seiya!! He was definitely my favorite of the Lights-- but Haruka will always be my favorite character! Space Swooord, Blastahhh! XD
Anyway, the pic is really great, it does look like an album cover though... a single perhaps? XD Anyway, awesome as usual! Sugoi! ^_^

Oooo.... It's so pretty.... I used to like Sailor Moon, but being the wierdo i am, I didn't really like the anime. I liked to buy the imported manga's and just sorta wish I could read them. I flipped through them lots and tried to deduce what was going on (did a decent job too ^^;) Luna tried telling me about the Lights (cause I asked her who they were, I missed a few issues) and she wasn't really able to make it too clear to me ^^;;; Someday, when my funds are a little more respectable, Sailor Moon is gonna get put back on my list of manga's to buy ^^;;
That background is absolutely kick butt. I LOVE it. It's so great!

Taryn, this is such a very good picture of a real hottie from Bishoujo Senshi Sailor Moon...and you're right, he is one of the coolor Sailor Starlights. I especially like how you drew the anatomy of this entire piece, since, at least for me, profile body shots are a toughie, and you've even got him with his arms crossed, another difficult thing to draw! I'm impressed yet again!

Seiya is wonderful. I fell in love with him and still loved him when he was a her. I love transvestities, wish i could date one. Lol. Anyways he does go good with Serena but as we all know Somehow Darien comes back to life (havn't seen them that far) and Serena marries him and they have Rini (me). This is really good though, sis. I think you should do one of him/he together like you did with Tak oh so long ago. That would kick major @$$
Oh, jeez, I remember when I first saw Stars, woulda been about nine. Anyway, the extraordinary thing here is I distinctly remember an almost identical promo picture was used on the ads for it! It had Seiya with his hair tossed back against a background of stars with SEIYA in roomaji at the bottom, and I'm damn sure I've got on tape somewhere. (This was all back in Japan if this doesn't make any sense to you. :p)
