Behind the Veil
Behind the Veil by @ducky (Skye Galbraith)

I know, long time no update. Well I've decided to move to DA. You can see my gallery here: http://duckychan.deviantart.com/ Anyways, after reading The Order of the Phoenix, and the manner inwhich Sirius Black dies I was deeply saddened. It will be difficult for me to watch Prisoner of Azkaban when it comes out on film knowing that he dies.

So, while talking with a friend of mine we remember that we had agreed to do an art trade. When she said she would like a picture of Sirius with black wings I was more than happy to oblige. For the next two hours I listened to "Arms of the Angel" by Sarah McLachlen over and over as I sketched, inked, scanned and then coloured this pic.

The title "behind the veil" comes from how Sirius died. For those who don't know and would like to, Sirius died while battling his cousin, Bellatrix Lestrange (the DeathEater who used Crucio on The Longbottoms) in the Department of Mysteries at the Ministry of Magic. Protecting Harry was his main priority in life until the moment he died. Falling backwards in an arc, he fell behind the veil, and never returned. Artwork © Copyright 2003 Skye Galbraith

If I would've known so many people would see this then I probably wouldn't have put it in the comments. ^^* Sorry to those who I've spoiled it for
