Oh, I love the symbolism in this one. The way Lucifer is musing over a pawn. The way his chair is held up by people. And the shadow in the background. Wonderful detailing.

Thanks! i had a great deal of fun doing the symbolisms in this. In fact, one detail that i don't expect many people to catch (and which fully reveals the extent of my own geek-ness) is that the name of the pattern on the chair fabric is called "flame stitch". ;)

Wow wow wowo. Excellent piece, I love the pose of the devil, and I probably wouldn't've got the people-symbolism unless someone'd mentioned it.
