the killing fields
the killing fields by @angelblood (Alice Ghost)

I was thinking of the most depressing things while doodling this... I tried at first to use a really difficult perspective and then settled on a profile. XP This kind of sharp-contrast thing is actually really hard to do without references, try it sometime if you haven't. :3

C+C appreciated, as always, and thanks for any comments!

Beautiful! The simplicity is awesome, I can only imagine how difficult it must have been without a reference. It looks very natural and realistic. I'm tempted to try! Perhaps someday, soon. Heh.

I've commented once on the oekakiboard, but I'll say it again: I really love the starkness of this! It's sharp and soft at the same time.

Had a go at the sharp-contrast thing, myself - had to grab a mirror not 5 minutes into the drawing. ;)
