Girl From Mars
Girl From Mars by @alice (alice duke)

"Martians are, by nature, slight of build and yellow of eye."

Inspired by Ray Bradbury's stories of Mars, brought to life in photoshop. I guess it's kinda topical too, with the Beagle 2 going missing and the European probe thing sending back pictures that virtually prove the existance of lots of water on Mars.

I've been without a computer over the holiday season - an upgrade went horribly wrong. So I've had to start again from scratch. I think this is the first finished image I've managed to complete since then.

(I'm not sure if this would count as fan art - it's inspired by text, not visuals, and it's not really a specific character)

This is a beautiful piece; wonderful shading of the face (especially the lips) and hair. I'm wondering, though, what are the 3 bright points in the sky?

O: Jasp. That actually is rather inspirational wordage... And she is the purdiest martian I've ever seen. Mwaaa, I love how you highlighted her hair, and the texture of the overall picture is socool.
