The Flower
The Flower by @alice (alice duke)

This painting was painted as a thank-you card to relatives who sent me a birthday gift, and also to the various communities where I post my artwork.

So thank-you Side 7, and all the members who've ever commented on my gallery. Art communities are a wonderful thing, whether you have lots of time to participate or not (which sadly, I don't, I barely have time to paint... whine whine etc etc :)).

As something that may or may not interest you, this image was overwhelmingly popular on deviantart, where it made the daily favourites (I think that it got something like 160 +favs altogether), making it around 10 times more popular than any other image of mine. Weird, because I don't think it's really of that much higher quality.

Wow. This is gorgeous. The whole picture has a dark but serene atmosphere about it. The hair looks amazing. Everything looks amazing, rather. All the texture and coloring and... just everything. It almost renders me speechless.

I really love her face. She's beautiful. She has a sinister yet elegant look and her outfit is outstanding. I remember seeing this on Deviant Art. Yeah. One look at it blew me away. It was just such an attractive picture. Love the background, by the way.

Anyways, this is awesome. Keep up the good work.

She is sooo pretty, kinda looks like someone I know o.0 Anyway, wow. I love all the colors, they all match with each other, the background is neat, reminds me of a sun coming up over a forest? O: I totally don't understand why your art doesn't get more comments, yer an AMAZING artist.

This deserves a gold star! It's so amazingly done! I love the dark colors that were used and then the how bright the stars are!
