Goldfish
Goldfish by @angelblood (Alice Ghost)

I keep having these bizarre dreams; women with irezumi tattoos whose faces I never see, foreboding labyrinth houses with equally intimidating inhabitants, goldfish... I should lay off the caffeine.

Please comment! I would love to hear any criticism/comments anyone has, I'm proud of this one. :3

I think you should be proud because this is a beatiful piece. It's explanation is nice too. ( I love hearing other people's dreams especially weird ones) For artwork: colors are nice the only thing bothers me is some parts are too blurry. sky, building and woman with tatoo are all right 'cos they are in the background. But gold fish and the other girl are in the foreground should be less blurry. maybe lines will work.

~Stares down the picture.~ This "is" a nice piece, but there's something else about it, maybe because it was from a dream that caught my eye. Hey, I clicked on this picture because it looked good, not because description said, "Tell me what you think."

This really caught my eye on my Museum page - the colors are so awesome! It makes a really eye-grabbing thumbnail (which would probably explain why you've already gotten so many comments on it. :D )

I love koi/goldfish (I'm not sure if there's a difference) and how you painted it. It just looks so freakin' neat.

I enjoy the juxtiposition of the figures and the fish and the sky and water - it speaks 'dream world' very clearly. Particularly since everyone seems to be on different planes.

Aaand as for any critique... perhaps the skin on the figures is just a little bit 'mushily' rendered. Maybe it's just because of the very pale coloring, though. Mmm and you can grade this if you want to, but you do not (of course) have to.

I like the slight rainbow iridescence to the tattooed figure. That goldfish just kicks butt, the way you have it moving is very 3D. Lovely composition, too!
