Oh, it's not a children's story! I know it looks like it is, but it really isn't. I should maybe start noting that when I post these places? Though I suppose I could use them for a children's story if I wanted to, eventually.
I'm really drawing these for a fanfic. I rarely if ever consider publishing – I'm well aware that there are a LOT of people out there who are a lot more talented than I am.

The style is very reminiscent of Paul Pfifer's illustrations for the Phantom Tollbooth and other children's tales. If you can keep the pallette and such the same throughout the book it should be excellent. Is the book driven by the illustrations or are the illustrations driven by the book? Children can instinctively tell on some level so I advise that you make sure your 'message' is any is prominent in whichever half is the driving force so may skim by.
