R and B from the same world as the cover of The Seduction of Crystal Rain (well, same world in that R is the author of that shining literary work and B his boyfriend, who drew said cover). Technically not the same universe as 'Between the Lollipop Forest and the Sugar Sea', even if they are the same people.

R (scarf guy) loves B (artist guy), but B would not have sex with scarf!guy because of religious reasons, so R broke up with him, ran off to Oregon, and wrote an angsty book about their relationship. B read the book, rethought his religious beliefs and followed R. Here they meet again for the first time in over a year. Woooo~
