Mayonaka no Ryuu by @Emerarudo_Chan (Taryn)

Ive really been enjoying the eps in Bleach with the shinigami's zanpakuto in human form and it inspired me to design a zanpakuto for my OC, Emerald. I knew I wanted something to do with a dragon since I love dragons and am born in that year and I also love night time so I put those two together and came up with my midnight dragon girl. She has a gothic geisha look since I love that look and I thought it would suit her dragon like personality. When in her materialized form she can breath cold fire like she can in her dragon form.

Name: Mayonaka no Ryuu (Midnight Dragon)

Race: Zanpakuto

Gender: Female

Age: Unknown but appears to be in her mid twenties

Partner: Kokoro Emerarudo (Emerald Heart)

Personality: Mayonaka no Ryuu is a tough zanpakuto with a very defiant personality. The only person she listens to is her wielder, Emerald and even then she tends to ignore orders just to piss her master off. She likes to tease her wielder and make rude comments as well as smack her upside the head sometimes and calling her stupid when she lets her emotions get in the way of a fight. The dragon in Mayonaka no Ryuu causes her to loose her temper quickly and rush head first into fights without fully thinking things out, she is also very outspoken and brash, the total opposite of her some what timid master. However despite always trying to push her wielder to the limit to get her out of her shell, Mayonaka no Ryuu cares deeply for her master and is very protective of her, especially when it comes to male shinigami being near her partner.

Sword Info: Mayonaka no Ryuu looks like a regular katana, her handle is wrapped in ribbon that fades from blue to black like her kimono and her tsuba is shaped like a triple crescent moon [link] When in her Shikai form, a silver dragon appears along the blade of the sword and a silver chain appears from the handle with the triple crescent moon on the end with blue gemstones resting in the dip in each moon. When in Bankai form the tsuba becomes the triple goddess moon [link] and a blue flame burns around the swords blade.

Shikai: release command - Otakebi (War Cry) Hoshi no Aoi Hi (Stars Blue Fire)

The blade of the sword dissolves (much like Haineko or Senbonzakura) into what looks like sparkling star dust but is in fact razor sharp piece of burning metal. The sparkling 'star dust' falls on the enemy lightly but when it comes into contact with its victims body the 'dust' bursts into a blue, cold burning flame, the sharp body of the dust (which is actually small razor sharp piece of the swords blade) cuts into the enemies flesh so the cold fire and burn them from the inside out.

Bankai: release command Kagayaite Mayonaka no Ryuu (Shinning Midnight Dragon)

Suisei no Doki (Comets Wrath)

With a slash of the sword, a dragon made out of what looks like star/comet dust appears and charges at its enemy. The head of the dragons body is a large blue-ish comet and the body is made up of the comets tail and is various hues blues, whites and greys. Like the shikai attack, contact with the dust this attack leaves in its wake will slice the victim as well as burn them but the main attack is focus around the head of the dragon (comet) The heat the comet dragon gives off is enough to burn flesh from 10 feet away but the major damage happens when the dragon rushed head first at the enemy and collides with them, thus crushing/burning them under the weight of the dragon (comet) In this form she also equips her master with armor on her sword wielding arm to her shoulder, the middle finger of the armor are clawed like the armor claw Mayonaka no Ryuu wears on her middle fingers.
