Kogie was born the youngest of two older brothers and one older sister. They were all born in Italy to their Italian mother and Japanese father. Kogie's mother died giving birth to him. The next year, they moved back to Japan, and the year after that, their father re-married and she had a girl. But their new mother died a year later from disease. When Kogie was 5, his sibling abandoned him after their father died. Kogie tried to take care of himself and his younger sister, but they were found out, and Kogie's sister was ripped from his arms and taken to a family. Kogie was taken to an orphanage, where no one wanted him. When he was 11, Akira (12) came to the orphanage. Sensei found them a year later, and they soon found amaya afterward.
