Introduction:

Sailor Quaoar (Ray Raven Windfield) represents the 10th planet in the Solar System (though its 1600 km circumferance warrants that it should be an asteroid). Her name means creation and is derived from a Californian native american language.

Ray is very similar to Rei (Sailor Mars). She is a spiritualist and quite in-tuned with nature. Though unlike Sailor Mars, Ray is not ruled by Mars and many of her qualities prove it. She is quite passive and is Sailor Saturn's exact opposite.

Sailor Quaoar is a character that hopefully everyone will learn to love her based on her genuine attributes and good nature.

Story History:

Present: Ray lives in Tokyo, Japan. Originally she came from California and tries to treasure her very distant family heritage. Her hobbies include everything from meditating and practicing ceremonies of her people. Culture is extremely important to Ray, as is the very fabric of life itself. She loves animals, and taking care of them. Plants are something that are also well appreciated. She likes Socials Studies since studying cultures is always interesting to her.

Unlike the New Wave Soldiers, Sailor Quaoar is not included in that group, or even associated with them in the same dimensional frame. She ends up being recognized as Sailor Quaoar one day when a bird as bright as day drops her transformation pen from a darkened sky above.

Sailor Quaoar's responsibility is to restore whatever planet or life Sailor Saturn erradicates. Not only that, but she represents the light of life; even when her guardian planet orbits over 6 billion kilometers from the Sun. Since of the great distance between herself and the rest of the Sailor Scouts, Sailor Quaoar acts quite isolated and relies mostly on herself. And as the first line of defence for the Solar System, she is the one Scout all the evil forces have to contend with.

Silver Millenium: Princess Quaoar and the few people of her own court were actually quite squabbly at the time of the Moon Kingdom's destruction. Having a planet with similar qualities of the Moon, and the powers of light and creation, it made for the arguements of who should be ruling the Solar System. Ultimately, Princess Quaoar had no say in this, let alone wanted any.

Princess Quaoar's counsel betrayed her and the Solar System to the invading dark forces, giving them power and information in exchange for the oppurtunity that they could rule the Solar System. The planet became corrupted.

When Princess Quaoar did find out, it was too late. She gave up the idea of fighting the enemy from her planet and went as fast as possible to the Moon where she could warn about the approach of the enemy. This would also let her work with the other Scouts, since fighting alone would be futile. Of course, her warning did not get out and she was left fighting her own people and some of Queen Beryl's forces before she was beaten.

General History:

Sailor Quaoar was created October, 8th 2002 when the mention of Quaoar was announced.

Sailor Quaoar was made mostly for bragging rights. It is just a little too tempting to not be the person who has the first actual Scout from the Solar System that no one else has. Yet because she is the Soldier of Creation, it gives a new twist to what could be an interesting plot-line.

Related Song(s):

-Savage Garden-To The Moon And Back

-This song refers both to the Silver Millenium and the present day Tokyo. Sailor Quaoar is betrayed by the people of her counsel back in the Silver Millenium on Quaoar, having to take off to the Moon to try and help stop the problem. (Just to point out, this song is taken entirely for face value, no metaphores needed.) And in present day Tokyo, Ray does not trust people at all and takes to animals for that trust, finding them better company. Actually, she does search for that trust in people but for her, it's incredibly hard to come by. Generally, no one trusts her, and she doesn't trust them in turn. Savage Garden-To The Moon And Back is word by word, accurate to Sailor Quaoar's story.
