Introduction:

Sharimy is an attitude problem waiting to happen. Just like Sharpedo, Sharimy is a rather aggressive shark. He (well 'they'. Sharimy is a Pokemon species) is really simple to look at, and has a noticeable personality while Sharpedo are as prehistoric looking as any regular shark.

Sharimy is not well known and not meant to be well-liked either. And that is how a shark should be.

Story History:

Sharimy are Pokemon that generally live far out to sea where they can hunt schools of Magikarp. Finding one closer to a shore is not only rare, but highly unlikely. Often a Sharimy will hunt alone, and will stick to a territory. Catching one is a challenge since they also prefer to swim at depths below 100 ft.

To pass time, Sharimys will bully other Pokemon, particularly Goldeens. The species is gradually nearing extinction for the lack of liking the opposite sex.

The fan fic for this character (not yet finished), recently titled 'With Love, Hate, And Angst' where the story follows three individual Pokemon (a Sunkissed, a Poltereon, and a Sharimy) as they travel through Kanto and Johto in search for a home, a way to learn, and a reason to live.

General History:

Sharimy was created January 2001. At the time there was no shark Pokemon in sight, thus VLK happily obliged to created one for herself.

The design for Sharimy was based off of tiger sharks, though unintentional, the design is very similar to Chomps Jr. from Donkey Kong Country 1. Even the attitude matches! Well, almost.

-Listening to this song is a mixed message, which after some thought, became the reason behind a plot to have Sharimy, Sunkissed, and Poltereon all in a group. Mostly to why Sharimy, a self-centered Pokemon, would even tag along with Sunkissed and Poltereon, it's pretty blatant with this explanation. Sharimy has a sort of appreciation or fondness for Sunkissed, but of course loves to put all the blame for it on her. Truth is, he is really mad at himself.
