The Flight Nebula by @fragmented_imagination (B Sanders)

This is a backdrop I made for some of my ships. It was a pretty slow process at the start because my computer didn't like me using the 300 soft-edge brush with the smudge tool. But that was it's problem. After making that blue shape, it was just a matter of adding layers of colored clouds and erasing portions to add volume to the edges. The stars in the background were an afterthought, so they kind of stick out.
