Originally done on my spoofy Wacom (plug) tablet for a Biology project I never finished (eep), this would be a Diatom. Diatoms are a kind of protist that have a hard, glass-like shell, that falls to the bottom of the ocean when the Diatom dies, waiting to be scooped up by humans and used in toothpaste. Cool, huh? They're my favourite protists. Them and Phytoplankton.
