Junicorn 2022 #15 - Sunset by @fragmented_imagination (B Sanders)
"One of the celestial unicorns, sunset unicorns are the embodiment of sunset. They mostly roam in the final night hours before midnight, their glow something of a beacon to others wandering the night. They are identified by their primarily warm colors and a horn which is slightly curved forward and bearing an image of the sun setting on the horizon. No one has ever been able to catch a sunset unicorn, so it is hard to tell if their coloring is a feature of their coat or if it really is the sunset itself taken form in a unicorn. Encountering them is extraordinarily rare; the only reason its existence has been catalogued is due to a few odd images taken with poor-quality cameras. These photos tend to come from people lost in the wild, many of them led to shelter in the pursuit of a sunset unicorn. Whether this means that sunset unicorns actually intend for these lost people to find shelter or if it just happens to be a coincidence, no one can really tell. There is also evidence of cameras and smartphones recovered with their last images also being of a blurry sunset unicorn or two."
I decided to try something a little different and left the outline off this one, instead just giving it color to give it an eerie feel. The eye, though, makes it look a little too sinister.
