It's the story of a couple (played by Jim and Kate Winslet) whose failed relationship leads them to undergo a memory elimination process. That's right, they're erasing memories of each other. This pic is a happy memory, taking place in Joel's mind but it's slowly being erased (the background's blurry and it's about to fade along with them).
