Women in the Military
Women in the Military by @digoraccoon (Diosden Rodriguez)

This is a pencil sketch of three Arkasti ladies in the armed forces I did on a lunch break. It has more shading to it, but my scanner is old and likes bleaching everything. Anyway, these ladies serve in the "Space" division of the military, which means lots of time in ships with controlled climates.

This got me thinking about uniform designs-- As beings with fur, I was thnking that wearing full uniforms would get uncomfortable after a time. I know I do when i'm wearing a suit-n-tie AND a jacket to work because my work area is so freezing cold, but other areas of the building get hot and I find myself itchy and sweaty.

Sooo... My thought was that the men and women would prever clothing that are more opened up. Thus, tanktops and shorts for everyone! Even the males would wear short clothing, though they cover a little bit more because in their female-driven society it would be faux pas for a guy to show off too much (Seemed only fair after what women had to endure in the 50s and 60s). I dunno, what do you think of furry races and clothes?
