Central Television (1968) by @WestKnightTV (West Knight)

In 1968, Central lost London to LWT, but got the Midlands 7 days a week. The next year, they surprised everyone with a new look: Instead of using flat symbols akin to their neighbours, they hung an actual sphere model up, then slowly lit it to create the signature shade.

At first, you can slightly see the translucent support behind, but as the "Globe" was remade electronically in 1982, the pole was gone alongside the "Colour" tag.
