Poltergeist 1
One day, two elder brothers wanted to scare their younger brother. The eldest brother took the youngest brother into a forest. The eldest brother showed a skull to the youngest brother and said that the skull predicts the future. The youngest brother asked the skull about his future. The middle brother said as the skull that the younger brother will be eaten by a giant spider. The younger brother, who is afraid of spiders, ran away screaming. The middle brother approached the eldest brother and laughed with him.
The skull rose from the ground. It told the eldest brother that he would be eaten by bats. It told the middle brother that he would fall into a river and drown. The eldest brother, who feared bats, and the middle brother, who feared water, screamed and ran away. The skull cackled and fell to the ground.
Poltergeist 1 by @fragmented_imagination (B Sanders)
This is an excerpt from The Book of Roads, a collection of poetry and stories in the original Batum language complied during a time in Ekim's history where there was very little interest in literature. The collection is responsible for reviving literature and cultural study in Ekim and inspired a generation of writers, even igniting a new genre in Ekim's literary history. This story is just a small story that I wanted to post as an example of literature in a different language.
