Vivere Disce, Cogita Mori
Vivere Disce, Cogita Mori by @yumeshoi (Yumeno Shoiryu)

Musingly I rather think that "Bang" equated to a sort of "Aw, screw it" in Spike-speak, myself. I think... that's what this picture is. Not on my part, but on his. And that's as far as I'm going to explain it. Sir Spiegel, this song's for you.

Crudelius est quam mori semper timere mortem: Latin, "It is crueller to be always afraid of dying than to die". And the title (Vivere Disce, Cogita Mori) is translated in the picture itself. (Learn to live. Remember to die.)

The "Infinity is Blue" bit actually comes from a lovely novel entitled "Soul Music", in which everybody's favorite Death quite matter-of-factly informs a holy man of the true hue of the eternal: NOT, said the stranger, WHEN SEEN FROM THE OUTSIDE. THE NIGHT SKY IS BLACK. BUT THAT IS JUST SPACE. INFINITY, HOWEVER, IS BLUE.

You bet I was impressed.
