So Far Away
So Far Away by @Shadowwolf (Shaddie)

Um. I started this picture around Christmas time, if you can believe that... I abandoned it when the original emotions I'd had first starting it ebbed away. I had it sitting in my files for countless months before I then started feeling the same degree of emotional blah-ness again, and started working on it once more. And yes, I do feel that way at this very moment still >.<

I'm not entirely happy with this. I found the anatomy and pose to be pretty good for something I drew like half a year ago, which is why I didn't trash it, but I still dunno. Something is wrong. shrugs

It's a fornlorn Shaddie thinking of Domi, life, and irony, whilst laying in 'our den'. Or as Bludd liked to call it, 'The Den of all Evils' o.0 It's the one on Furcadia in Sleepy Hollow's dream. Not much else to say. Hmmm :|

Lyrics from Dire Straits' So Far Away. So far away from me, so far I just can't seee...

Some of the best pieces of art seem to be created from strong emotions, and you certainly sense that here. I love how there seems to be a story here with the images in the background.

As for CC the anatomy seems pretty solid, I think maybe some deeper shading would help though, the color on her seems fairly uniform which looks akward with the suggested light source.

Anyway I really like this picture, she looks so sad and alone.
