Hermione Granger
Hermione Granger by @linnpott (Linnen Potter)

I link Hermione, she's possibly one of my favorite. It's REALLY not saying much thought, because everyone in my book is my favorite... 'cept Cho Chang...

The Japanese reads 'Hermione Granger'. Bet you couldn't figure THAT out, huh? ^_~

Well, it translated into 'Hermione' as in katkana the object is to make the word sound as close as possible to the english version. (example: Chocolate in Japanese becomes 'Chokoreeto'.).

I'm afraid that the official way to write Hermione is ha-maioni- gurenjya-, according to the Japanese Warner Brothers site. ^_^ It only took afew minutes to find on Yahoo! Japan.
