My first try with GIMP. Just ignore the character and stare at the background; it took me the least time to make, so of course it looks better than anything else.

A feline Jedi. A very cool concept. The clothes came out very well, as did the cat. I love the expression and the whiskers. And the glow to the lightsaber makes it look more authentic.

As for the background, it's very pretty. I love the stars speckled all over the sky, and the way the purple and black mix together. The planet looks awesome too. I love the slight rings.
