Okay. I'm going to copy and paste all my gushing here, but DUDE. My husband was just standing here, and I showed him the wall paper...and this is my husband here, who isn't one to appreciate art - but he was all, "DUUUDDE. That's sweeet." hehe. Not quite as wordy as me, but you made a boy gush all over it too! Okay. copy and paste:
blink OH. MY. GOSH.
keeps staring
OH MY WORD.
gawks
Okay. I know I have a tendency to just ramble on about how amazing you are - and I wouldn't have thought you could get any better because you're already impossibly gifted - but HOLY COW! I just...dude...you should HEAR me right now! I'm chatting out loud to myself because there is no way I can put into words how friggin' awesome that pic is!!!
I am BLOWN away. The background I think is the most gorgeous and most striking you've ever done. Again, I'm utterly dumbfounded. You realize you could sell this stuff, right?? At Rennaissance faires and maybe random art shops? The caliber of your art, my friend, has far-surpassed most of the stuff I see at Prints Plus!! Maybe you could call them!! Maybe I'LL call them for you and find out how you submit stuff!!! I'm serious about this. This talent can't go to waste.
Okay. I'm going to try to calm down enough to be coherent. And I'm gonna try to notice details, but I tell ya - the overall effect just leaves me stupefied. That background is just amazing. The dusk, and the clouds that are still catching the light from the setting sun, and the LIGHTNING! The lightning is friggin' awesome!! I love the mountains in the background. The shady grays and lavenders...my word. It gives it SOO much depth. And the way the lightning is striking throughout the piece, and hits her staff...how do you think of stuff like this??? I wish I could write as well as you draw!!! You're at the top top scale of artists out there!!
And PULU...WOW. What a magnificient creature!! I look at her, and am totally swept away in her world. Her stance...she's so noble, and dignified, yet she's still got that definite bit of cuteness that makes me wanna hug her. Green was such a great choice to compliment her figure. And that sandy coloring of her body.
I wonder what she's thinking. It's like she's at a point in her life when she's passed all the insecure stages - where's she's a god now, or a warrior. What an evolution. I can see it in her face, and in the picture.
This pic is really awesome! I love how you went through all the steps to show how you drew it (I've been meaning to do that, but I'm lazy so I just wrote it all out in my bio). The final image is quite stunning!
