Ludwig II. :1881: 3 by @Ereinion (Klara Luise Maxeiner)

Helmut Berger in the movie "Ludwig 1881". It´s just a promotion picture - in the movie Berger´s Ludwig has a beard and looks a bit older. In a way. I like the background with a sky at dusk. Done with chalk.

I've been checking out all of your Ledwig related images in the updates, and they are all very lovely. You handle the flesh tones beautifully, and the shadows and lights are nicely balanced. The flatness of the black may be an effect of photographing/scanning the image, but it makes it rather striking.

I was a little confused by the blue-grey color on the far side of his face, until I saw the original photo-reference you used. The far side of his face was picking up quite a bit of the blue light/reflection from the lights they used for the photo, but your drawing didn't quite match the blue light. So instead of interpreting that as reflected light, it seems a little out of place compared to the rest of the drawing. I don't know if you could lighten the background near that side of his face with similar colors, or maybe carry over the highlights you have on the rest of his face to that part... that might fix that spot. Still very lovely all the same :)
