Prolly one of the truest friends I've ever had. Elanor was my mentor and teacher through a very important part of my life and he helped me to understand who I was and how I fit into the world around me. He is very old, and very powerful, and when I first met him he totally took my breath away. o.o
This picture I actually drew quite a long time ago.. but I never got around to coloring it til now. This is my tribute to the Dragon who taught me and helped me so much with everything he did.
Although I did get a few details wrong.. I think the inside of his wings are the same color as his body, only patterned.. only the top of them is dark red.. also he has white plates down his underside which I kinda forgot.. 6.6; Artwork © Copyright 2002 Lynne Stephenson
So...beautiful...your dragons are always breathtaking, Lynne. I don't know how you do it--though I do know you're blessed with huge talent!--but in addition to being nice to look at visually, they always seem to radiate a certain...ah...energy. 6.6* I can't explain what I mean in words so well. But in this case, with Elanor, the picture conveys--to me--a sense of underlying strength and wisdom, but also a feeling of serenity. I can only imagine what--if this is the feeling that one can get from a piece of art--it must have felt like to know and experience this being's presence face-to-face. It sounds from your description as though it was wonderful. ...now draw more dragons so I can gaze in awe! I ruin my sincere and heartfelt comment by becoming bossy like Mike! DO IT! O.o...
