Skittles Tiger
Skittles Tiger by @miaor (Miaor Da Tiggie)

I drew this tiger on a scratchboard. It was my first time using a scratchboard, and I'm very pleased with the result.

The back of the scratchboard was colored like that. I didn't alter it in any way.

More pictures to come later. I do plan on filling the space I just created.

This is a really interesting picture, but i actually have to understand what a scratchboard is... wùWas this done digitally or using "normal" media? (pardon my ignorance)

A scratchboard is a type of real media that's black with color underneath the black. You scratch off the black parts where you want the color to show through.

This piece is absolutely AMAZING! What luck for you--the way the scratchboard back was, the darker colors fall just like shadows would've, and the light ones just like highlights! It's absolutely amazing, and you did excellent work on the fur and details. The tiger's face especially is so well done. Awesome job!

Oh, wow - this must be REALLY stunning in real life! Great work with the fur texture...haven't done a scratchboard in ages, but it's difficult not being able to erase. Wonderful work!
