Freya, Norse Goddess
Freya, Norse Goddess by @zenphoenixa (Annabel Lee)

And so I find myself visiting the Norse angle again, this time with the Queen of the Norse Gods herself, Freya... ^.^ this is my half of a trade with Shironami, who drew me a fantastic portrayal of my characters Cal and Taliana, and was so prompt too! Feels so late T__T But I promised that I'd get this done before my holidays ended, and I did! ^.^;; whew Anyway, after being asked to draw Freya, this meant that I had to do a spot of internet research (which I didn't mind) and I tried to fit in most of what I found on Freya into the pic - Queen of the Valkyries, beautiful looks, a cape of falcon feathers that allows her to cross dimensions/fly through the heavens, a chariot drawn by black cats (technically supposed to be DOMESTIC black cats, but that would've looked too wussy ), her necklace Brisingamen (which can't really be seen, sorry about that...) and a (hopefully) witchy look, since Freya is skilled in magic arts. This pic marks the first time I've ever drawn a chariot so excuse my rather sad attempt since I wasn't working off references, and this is also the first time I've drawn a fully visible person in Lord knows how long! The furries have taken over the world!! O________Oxxx Coff O.o Heh, I thought I told you guys and gals to kick me if I ever tried drawing another freehand rainbow... X___X kick me now if you wish It's times like these, I realise that the blur and eraser tool are grossly underpaid features of Paintshop Pro. I also regret the colours I chose for the spear, but I'll just try to ignore it in the future... O.O;; and overall, I'd probably consider this a sister pic to 'Once over Yggdrasil' in terms of subject matter and imagery. ^.^ I guess that's all I have to say, so I hope you enjoy your pic, Shironami, as much as I enjoyed the pick you drew me! ^_^
