Halcyon by @zenphoenixa (Annabel Lee)

Probably one of my best to date..... the Halcyon is a mythical bird, a bit like the Phoenix, with the power to calm the wind and water and who lays its eggs on a nest out at sea. According to legend, sailors knew that when the Halcyon was out and about, the winds and sea would remain calm and safe. This image was also partly inspired by the cool tune 'Halcyon' by Chicane.... hugs her album ^_^

Cool! I love the water effect on this one, and the entire bird thing that you are doing like with the Enduring Freedom picture are both really cool with the wings and stuff. Keep up the good work!

Wow, how do you do it? I've been looking through your work and I had to comment on this picture! It's amazing! the colouring, the water effect... I wish I could draw and colour as well as you!
