Ho'ep
Ho'ep by @Lady_Epona (Sara Maydew)

Yay! loves Saga Hehe ... the Avien species are part bird, part cat, and are the very cool creation of Saga Wolf. :) And she let me make my own character! Yay!!

Oki, oki ... though I adore big cats (especially cheetahs and lynxes), I can't draw them for toffee. >_< D'oh! This is Ho'ep, a cheetah cross hoopoe (one of my favourite birds). He's a shaman. I likes him. :) He has pretty jewellry. ^-^

Cat legs are really hard to draw. ô.O

Ye did it! Ye made an Avien^_^ Weee! does a happy little dance and huggles Sari tight Now there's actually 5 aviens in creation! I like his coloration, always have loved the combination of orange and black, and the jewellery gives and extra little flash of colors;) I'm thinking of making a group shop of the existing Aviens... May I throw Ho'ep into it?

I've got a few suggestions. Try and draw his neck a bit longer. Cheetahs have slightly longer necks. Also, even though it looks incredibly nifty in this pic, you might want to remove the gold hoops on his wing. They will disrupt the airflow when he flies and make it harder for him to stay aloof. Also the extra weight will make it easier for the feathers to bend and even break......... good I'm too realistic..... they are bird/cat crosses for crying out loud!

Wonderful picture Sari!

Yay, thank you for your comment!! :) Of course you can use Ho'ep, it's thanks to you I was able to create him anyway. ^-^ Thanks a lot for your suggestions too - I did wonder about the rings on his feathers when I drew them, but I didn't realise they could actually brake them. ô.O Oops! Also, now I look at it, I realise the neck SHOULD be longer ... d'oh. Thanks for pointing it out! :P

Anyway, thank you again! :) ...I wanna RP him now! Lol!

I like it, especialy it's paws. You got the anatomy right, and the jewelry, and the crest and wings, and most of the head, though it seems to be... drooping, a little, maybe?

I used to be terrible at drawing big cats but then I took a few days off studying Lady and the Tramp to drawing lion king. I'm still studying lion king, two months later. I've drawn frames from every scene in the movie.

It's addictive!

But back to your drawing. The colours and description are neat. Because keeping track of everything would be hard for future drawing. I should try tat sometime.
