LittlePrayer-Half Pipe Hero by @XxTheCreativeKitsunexX (XxTheCreativeKitsunexX)

Inspired by bands like The Offspring, The Vandals and other thrasher style bands from the late 1990s...

I decided to try my hand at this style of music next as I remember hearing it throughout my entire teenage years and a bit into early 2000s where it was eventually replaced by rap music.

The theme and tone were hardest to nail as the I didn't want the track to sound too samey as its inspirations so I decided to inject a little of my own style into the mix. I am not very good with equalization and proper amp settings for electric guitar yet, so what you get is a raw sound like its coming from some garage band playing in a very cramped space. I was originally going to add lyrics to the track as it screamed for something else but I could not come up with lyrics to fit the music so I just left it as an instrumental piece. I remember playing Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 1 and 2 on the PS1 and even grabbed a copy of the remake on PS4, this kind of music holds all sorts of memories for me but no I am not or ever was a skateboarder and didn't even appreciate the sport till I played the Tony Hawk games. Either way I hope you all enjoy yet another experimental track delving into yet another genre of music.

Let me know what you think if it nailed the sound and style or it was a major wipe out on the half pipe. Either way enjoy!

To be honest I had a LOT of fun creating this even if it was difficult so I may end up doing another track in this style in the future.

Definitely has that '90s grunge sound. It's a shame the lyrics didn't pan out, as the song really feels like there should be some.

@BadKarma: Yeah the original lyrics I made for it just didn't fit the vibe and sounded way too forced and didn't fit the track's style. Cause this is my first attempt at this style of music maybe when I do another track in this style I may come up with something more fitting.

Several of the ~~GalaxyLord~~ Galaxy Saviour tracks have a strong metal vibe, so this feels like a natural outgrowth. HAV - Pete 'Maverick' Mitchell The Nineties™ were definitely an aesthetic; I've never really been in-tune with the pop music scene, but it felt like the last gasp of mainstream rock before radio was subsumed by capital-P Pop around the late Aughts.

@Thorvald: *Yeah punk is a lot faster then Galaxy Savior's style though, honestly I wondered how a guitarist was able to play a riff so fast in the first place, after watching some punk rock vids I was truly astounded. *
