Well, here is a picture from a scene of my book I wrote a while ago, illustrating the aftermath of a cougar attack. It's Peclef and Kapiemete, remeber themmmm? Yahp, I changed Kapiemete's colors a bunch...I tink she looks better. The poor Kapie...;_;

Ah, blood - it's not that hard once you nail it down. :)
Just think of it in volume: where there's a lot of it, it tends to be dark dark dark red. On the edges, and when it's just running thin, it's crimson. ...and when it's coming from a wound, also apply the thick-blood rule. :D
There's something I very much like about the fur texture, especially on the grey canine. The fur on the face seems especially flowy, and I love the glittery eye. It fits the tears.
Justa note regarding blood - unless it's fresh (which it looks like in this picture) blood tends to be a lot darker. But that's my nitpick for today. :D Love the noses there.
