Sun Elf
Sun Elf by @orahnn (Christopher Christian)

The Elves of Sahira are a disappearing wonder; their numbers culled over the last millenia during the inumerable wars with the Abyssals and Shadowkin as they claw their way to the surface through the Earthwound. Yet the Sun Elves in Ashkara's Crystal Spires still stand their vigils and chant the spells that keep the remaining Seals intact... trying with their dwindling numbers to give their cousins, the Moon Elves, time to heal Arduria's wound - and close the portal forever...

For me, this piece means a lot. The Sun Elves are one of the races being created and described in the World of Arduria d20 Campaign Setting that I am working on (more information to come in 2006!). In addition, this is my largest watercolor piece to date, with the original measuring 13" x 19" (on 140lb coldpress).

Thanks! I apprecaite it :) This was an important painting for me, I think. I've done a lot of art, but I managed something here I haven't before... and I'm proud and mystified by it - LOL! This is one of those images where the artist (me) looks back at it and says "Wow! I did that!"

Hopefully I can manage to do as well on my next piece :)
