Pelegrino
Pelegrino by @Crash (Charlie Stadele)

An unabashed pinup of Pelegrino, a fan-created Saiyan in a DBZ fanfic. She's not the typical fan-created character. She's a bit of a ditz (okay, I'll admit that is typical) but she spent almost the entirety of the story possessed, and got her butt handed to her by every fighter she met. The tatooing is a result of said possession, and the tangled up jacket is because...well, she's a ditz.

Is she still possessed in this picture? She looks very angry. I'm quite impressed with the tattoos--they look awesome, running down her legs and arms like that. The anatomy is rendered so well--I agree that she's not typical, because she's not stick-skinny--I like her muscle tone! The pose is very nice, too, but I feel her tail is a little too heavy--if it's like a monkey tail, like the way Goku of DBZ's is (so I hear, I really am not a big fan) I think it should have more life to it--be more flexible and active. The tangled up jacket is a nice touch! The shading on the clothing is rather well done, but on the skin, it's really hard to see what's going on. It looks like you used at least two colors to blend into a skin tone, but they are not cleanly blended, so it appears there are random darker spots. Try putting more of the darker reds towards where the shadows would be--like on the underside of her arms, beneath her ribs, etc. And don't be afraid to try using white highlights--they really make an image pop out! Great design, and keep it up!

Angry? That was supposed to be a smile. Must'a been the black lips... Or maybe its the tattoos on the face...

Yeah, on coloring, that was done with about 4-5 different pencils for skin tones. Light brown for shadowed areas, pink, tan and tannish-oragne for regular skin undulations, and a really pale peach to blend it all together. I stand by the splotches! Skin (especially around musceles) undulates, and the color varies accordingly. ...Haven't tried red shadows yet, thought... ...But white is just hard to do (and keep clean) with colored pencils.
