Wonder Project J2
Wonder Project J2 by @Fox_Orian (Fox O'Rian)

Medium: Lineart: Adobe Illustrator 10 Color: Adobe Photoshop 7 Tool: Optical mouse only In: 7+ hours of nonstop work. My arm hurts.

Well there, I did it. This is sort of a "special thanks" fanart of Josette I did from Wonder Project J2. Chances are, you have not heard of Wonder Project J2 unless you live in Japan or have issue 96 of Nintendo Power from May 1997. ++ Knowledge: [Article about J2] Honestly, thats pretty much the only article about the game with images.

When I first read about the game, I thought it was cool, and it was inspiring. The game actually influenced me to create my character Kathryn Desmond, who like Josette, is an android. The idea honestly would have never crossed my mind. It also got me more interested in anime, since I hadn't seen much of this style at all on TV, without having Cartoon Network and all.

So I did this. [Yes, Ren, that is why I ran over today to borrow your 96th issue of Nintendo Power, for reference material.] Honestly, this came out better than I thought it would. The pic took about 7 hours in Photoshop. The original is 3600x2491 pixels. I actually went all out and did this image completely original. The pose, background, everything wasnt copied or traced, which I see often in fanart. Hah, I even had to redraw the logo since I didnt have the appropriate fonts. The CG was a LOT of fun to do. I properly learned how to CG clouds! Yes! Thats good for later pics.

But anyway, thanks Enix software for giving me that boost to advance my world.

Any comments would be greatly appreciated.

This is awesome. Fantastic coloring job! Everything is so clean and crisp looking. I can honestly say those are some of the best CG rendered clouds I have ever laid eyes on. =Þ They look real! Nice job all around. The bird is cute. ^_^

Jaw DROPS!

Dude, this is amazing. Whatever you do, PURSUE YOUR TALENTS! I mean... O_O! I lookd through the recent art and this really did catch my eye- I LOVE it! =D

I'm suprised I havn't heard of the anime before, I founded a club at school dedicated to finding anime and shareing it between friends and I was introduced to MANY different shows and games. O_o; Well, I learn new things each day. XD

Anyway- this piccy is truly a masterpiece. ^_^ EVERYTHING is perfect! The proportioon, the shading, the mood, the on-looker can almost /feel/ the weather in the picture. ^^ Plus, it's very pleasing to the eye. It takes a great deal of talent to do that. applaudes Wonderful job!

thumbs up -Lislis My blah art: www.side7.com/art/psychogirl/gallery.html ( I think that's right... o.0)

This image is absolutely amazing. I really strive to do CG work that is this proffesional looking, but I don't think I've quite gotten to this level yet. The composition, shading--even the logos--look like something that could have been pulled directly off of an official magazine for anime, like a Newtype centerfold. I am really, very impressed!

I especially love the way you've highlighted her hair and accessories. The shine really gives it a feeling of smooth texture, and the soft shading on the skirt emphaizes the differences in materials. The background is amazing, too--almost photo-realistic in areas, and the clouds are gorgeous.

Once again I am incredibly impressed, and I hope to see more art like this from you in the future!
