A Theory of Zimheight
A Theory of Zimheight by @kidkourage (KidK Mirai)

Okay so anyway, I have recently learned through Bast that there's a theory--I don't know if it's a new theory of if I just never noticed it--among IZ fans that Zim's not really shorter than a Munchkin, he's just drawn that way. The logic runs, Zim appears to be about as tall as the average kid in his class at Skool, and only the teensiest bit shorter than Dib; if these kids are about 10-12 years old, and Zim's their height, then therefore Zim must be around 4'-5' tall (I checked and that's about the height range for the average kid that age ^-^). So Zim's not really incredibly short...but see, there is at least one implication of this theory that should be pretty obvious--if Zim's about 4'6" tall, and the Almighty Tallest are drawn in proportion, that would put our lords and masters at about 11'-13'. Hence...THIS SKETCH. =B

Of course, personally I feel that this theory runs into some serious trouble when considered further. The main problem I believe it is my duty to point out is this--THE HEIGHT OF THE AVERAGE ADULT HUMANS ON EARTH. No one will doubt that, oh, say Professor Membrane is just about the normal height for a man his age. But if this Zimheight theory is correct, then the Professor would have to be something like 8' tall or more, most likely more. 9.9 If Zim's really the height of an average human 5th grader in the real world, then in the Zimworld all adult humans are giants and all the buildings on Earth have been rebuilt to accomodate this amazing surge in average height.

I propose this alternate theory: Zim's a tiny, tiny thing. The Tallest are something like 6'6" to 7'6" or thereabouts, whatever floats your boat. Human adults on Earth come in the variety of heights that exist in the real world. And as for human children, well, there's something terrible in the water that stunts their growth until their hormones start kicking in and overriding whatever chemicals are in the environment that make them short compared to children in the real world. Since IZ clearly takes place in the future, and in a world where the sky's often RED, which suggests terrible environmental conditions to me (and since in reality I grew up in a neighborhood where there were a ton of kids who didn't get past like 4' until after 8th grade o_O), I think this is pretty plausible.

So there you go! =D I turned a sketch into a forum for my beliefs! Anyhow, this was just drawn for fun. Look how Zim and Red are enjoying their newfound uber-tallness...heehee...

You can go ahead and say something dirty, I'm sure it's not anything that I haven't thought of myself. ^.~

It's all in the filthy water! No wonder it's poisonous to Irkens!!
