Hi, even if it doesn't look like him completely, you mastered a fantastic piece of art! Shading is fantastic..this is what I still have to work on...any pointers like me know..I did Johnny Depp in the pirates of the carribean and it was very hard, But I finally did it..Visit my site and you will see it..Shirley Love this realy good...

Thank you so much! Well, a very useful trick for soft shadings, is using cotton-pads.

Mmm... Johnny. He's so delicious. You've done a really good job on capturing him, especially on his face. Hmm. For doing realistic portraits, using toned paper helps a lot, so you can get rid of the outside 'lines' outlining him--that tends to flatten an image. Toned paper gives you a base shade to work from so you can go two directions--lighter for highlighted areas, and darker for shadows, so it's easier to make things stick out. o.O I don't think I sound like I know what I'm talking about... Anyways, keep it up. I'll definetly comment on any Johnny pic you do!

Thanx! Thanks for the tip, I really don`t have much clue on what paper to use so this is useful!
