"Life" by @stepratt (Stephanie Ratté)

Art Assignment 3 was a pastels assignment. It is of Ouroborous, the serpent which devours its own tail, which basically means the circle of life is neverending. The serpent in the center is in the shape of the infinity sign, and the little kana at the top is a Japanese symbol for "life". So, with all this, who can guess what the theme of this image is?? =) Anyway, Ouroborous and Infinity are coloured w/ oil pastels, and the bg is in chalk pastels. The life symbol, however, is done in very dry watercolour black, only 'cause my pastels would not have created the same effect as the paint had. This is a really nice picture.
