This is what happened in the finished version of A Simple Mission in Triplicate.

Transparent Seph is hard to draw, but I imagined he'd be even harder to color. And I was worried about ruining the detail to the black wing. So it's indefinitely being left in this format.

Sephiroth died using his energy to stop the amethyst with a mind of its own from destroying the temple where all of them were. Cloud is just realizing Sephiroth had become his friend, and Sephiroth, observing in spirit form, realizes Cloud really does care.

(And yes, of course Seph comes back! Can't have such a depressing ending.)

I know the bricks are atrocious. I tried to make up for the abomination by doing them correctly on the decorating pic.
