Odysseus' dog from The Odyssey by @ashllars (Ashley Larsen)
We had to draw 5 pictures and write poems with them. This is the only one I loved. The poem: I am merely an old hunting dog Twenty long years I waited unloved I am waiting for my master As I sit by the door unwashed and unfed My master trained me as a pup I became a strong leader of the hunt. When my master did not come home, I dropped my might hunting dog stunt. Now they call me a mongrel As I sit by the door all day. I've grown very old. I'm dying in everyway. For twenty years I have waited For my master to come home And now he has returned I can finally move on...
-sniff- I cried when the puppy died in the poem. Artwork © Copyright 2002 Ashley Larsen
