Yeah, I know, title is unoriginal.

Anyway, this started out as just a sketch in the middle of some class I was twitchy to waste staring at the wall. And I liked it, so I cleaned up the lines and started colouring - and I even coloured the lines! Gasp! The transparent lines started out as a medium gray, not black, and I quite like how they turned out..

At first I'd planned on cell style colouring it, but then I also wanted to use the burn tool, so, I saved the flats and coloured this on a duplicate save. Mostly an experiment with shading with dodge/burn.. the background was cheaply done in PSP, and (I think) a little off. The hill and trees are off, anyway...heh maybe I shouldn't use the picture tube =P I also thing the sword's a little out of place.. Might remove it and see how that looks.

I wasn't originally sure who this was, but for now we'll call it one of Kyara's forms - Elven with wings. shrug

That's about all I have to say about this one though.. since there's changes that could be made and more shading to be done, most likely, it's a WIP. Artwork © Copyright 2003 Takuya Miyoko
