An illustration from my vignette collection Love is Not a Victory March, in which Autor explores a romantic love for Rue and a platonic love for Ahiru during the 11 times he played piano for the ballet classes. Following the fifth time, he walks Ahiru home in the rain.

You can see a few penciled raindrops. I'll probably ink those and more for the color version. And Autor's hand gave me so much trouble, I finally had to take a cane and hold it upsidedown in front of a mirror to see how it would look. I don't know why it gave me so much grief; I've drawn hands like that before.
