Background practice
Background practice by @VioletWhirlwind (Violet Whirlwind)

Holy....This thing took a lot of work. It was fairly quick, comparitvely to my other stuff, but...

This is basically a scene from Great Escape RP again...I wanted to see if I could do a highly-involved background...

Basically it's a scene of the enslaved Reni as she arives at the imfamous alpine slave (death) camp known only as the Quarry.

Yowch! I should not have done nearly so much snow...it detracts a little bit from the picture...but...What can I say...I got carried away...

I need to learn how to draw better mountains...

I drew perspective! Yay for vanishing points. (Little factoid: the vanishing point I used was converted into one of the snow dots near the dead tree) That fence gave me a headache thinking about inking it...I was actually afraid to for a while...But...when I did eventually ink it...I inked it in ONE SITTING...I think I was up until two or three in the morning doing that...>.< But it came out fairly well...aside from the rudimentary buildings and mountains)

Kudos to those who can find the two nameless characters that are sort of hidden in the corner...Unless they're obvious...I dunno...anyway...that stick figure furry in the background on that path thing is kinda scary in it's uglyness...>.<

But!

I absolutely LOVE the way Reni's quills came out in this...makes her kinda 3-D....
