The Love of a God
The Love of a God by @Indifferent (Jacqueline Rawlings)

Rook Nachtmann, an old [ex-]friend of Alaize and Katya's, makes another bid for forgiveness, and marriage, using the only method he knows: flirtation. This is a terrible way of gaining repentance or love, especially when the person in question's husband died only a few weeks previously. Katya has a very, very good reason to hate him, but I can't reveal it because it would ruin the OMG SOAP OPERA TWIST! that my little story hinges on.

The reason why both are so gussied up is that they are both on their way to little unborn Stefka's coronation ceremony. The purpley robey thing is the traditional garb for the occasion; if you squint your eyes, you can see embroidered stalks of wheat on its sides that represent, of course, fertility.

Erf...I don't really know whether I like this one. On one hand, I actually got up off my lazy ass and digitally outlined a picture, and was able to get some little details just right (Rook's hat, Katya's hairpiece thing). On the other hand, this piece turned out way too cartoony, the background is absolute bunk, and also too much lilac (Dx). Oh well I guess.
