DEER HEAD [Dec 13, 2017]
DEER HEAD [Dec 13, 2017] by @Fireseeker_Arts (Fireseeker Arts)

So now we start heading towards the school projects i made in college. I took a few during my two years there. For 2017 I took a general drawing class and for 2018 I took two classes: drawing and painting and a life drawing class. Looking back at it the 2017 classes were easier mainly because the laid back teacher and there wasn't a whole lot of chaos at that time. Anywho, this was one of the projects we worked on. We were doing a study on Albrecht Duerer and one of our assignments was to try to mimic one of his pieces as close as possible, using those box chart things as a guide. I decided to use it on one of his deer pieces because I really like deer. I still like deer to this day even! This was Duerer's drawing:

Head of Roe Deer

I actually do like this piece! It helped me understand Duerer's art process and gave me a chance to work with mixed media. Looking back at my assignments it makes me with I went back and had the chance to play with different media for my own personal works.. maybe one day when I get the time to.. Art made by me
